The GCX-16 Convection Steamer with a gas steam boiler is designed for high-efficiency steam cooking in commercial kitchens. Constructed with durable satin finish stainless steel type 304 on the exterior, the cooking chamber is made from a one-piece, all-welded type 316 stainless steel for enhanced corrosion resistance and long-lasting performance. The steamer doors are equipped with a removable stainless steel inner liner, a full perimeter gasket seal, and a one-piece, all-welded stainless steel outer shell. The positive lock and seal mechanism ensures a tight seal, while the door opening measures 14” x 26.5” (356 mm x 673 mm), providing easy access for loading and unloading. The GCX-16 features removable stainless steel pan supports and a stainless steel drip trough that connects to the drain, effectively collecting condensate when the door is opened to maintain a clean and efficient cooking environment. For ease of operation, the control housing is made from stainless steel with a fully accessible, removable panel. Each cooking compartment is independently controlled with a 60-minute timer, a green ready pilot light, and a red cooking pilot light. At the end of each cooking cycle, an audible signal alerts the operator, ensuring accurate cooking times. Steam flow to the cooking chamber is automatically interrupted when the door is opened during the cycle, and reactivated when the door is closed, promoting safe and efficient cooking. This convection steamer is mounted on a sturdy cabinet base with a full perimeter angle frame and reinforced counter and boiler mountings. The unit is equipped with hinged doors, 6” (152 mm) stainless steel legs, and four adjustable flanged feet for secure floor mounting. Standard features include a water treatment system, automatic blowdown, CSD-1 boiler controls, electronic ignition, and a split water line, all ensuring reliable and efficient performance.
